Game 2

Today we played against Granger's B squad. The first half didn't go so well, but after a "talk" at half time the boys came out and were ready to play. We came back from a 9 point deficit and were within 3 points with under a minute to play. Diego drove the ball and got fouled going up for a lay-in. He missed his first free throw, but made the second and we called a quick time-out with 19 seconds to go. We discussed our defensive strategy and waited for the ten seconds to pass before the other team had to cross to our half. The boys immediately pounced and through a scramble the ball went out. Prosser ball. We used our final 30 second time out to design our last efforts with 6 seconds left on the clock. The boys executed the play pretty well and Diego took a last second shot that hit the rim and then...well it bounced off unfortunately, BUT, I was so proud of them for getting themselves back in the game with the opportunity to win the game!

Game 1

First game today, man that came quick! The boy's played great for having so little experience. We had a good warm up and then played the Toppenish B Squad. We might not have won, but they're learning a lot and already getting a lot better!
